Sloppy Joe meat tucked inside Grands butter biscuits, baked ten minutes. The kids’ favorite supper.
Prep: 15 min · Cook: 10 min · Total: 25 min
Ingredients
- 1 batch Sloppy Joe Meat — Homemade or from a can of sauce - whatever you like
- 1 can Pillsbury Grands Butter Biscuits
- Pulled BBQ Chicken — Optional variation - drain it well so the bottoms don't go soggy
Directions
- Brown the Sloppy Joe meat and let it cook down until saucy but not soupy. Set aside.
- Gently stretch each biscuit out bigger and flatter with your fingers into a wide round. — Go slow so it doesn't tear - and if it does, just patch it
- Spoon a scoop of meat into the middle of each stretched biscuit. — Don't overfill
- Fold the sides up and over the filling, overlapping each fold, until the meat is tucked inside. — Rustic is the goal - no need to seal it perfectly
- Set them fold-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 375°F for about 10 minutes, until puffed and golden.
- Let them cool a minute before serving - the filling is hot.
Notes
For the BBQ chicken version: same method, but keep the chicken on the drier side and save the extra sauce for dipping. Other fillings work too - taco meat, pizza fixings, breakfast sausage and egg.
