About Me!

Hi, I'm April!

Southern, Simple, Sassy, Stubborn as a Mule!

I'm a Southern girl with dirt under my nails, a camera in my hand, and a .45 on my hip.

I'm married to my best friend, and together we're raising six kids on our little slice of Florida. We homeschool, homestead, and somehow manage to run multiple businesses without completely losing our minds. Most days.

When I'm not homeschooling or chasing chickens, you'll find me in the kitchen feeding this crew, behind the camera capturing moments that matter, or planning our next family adventure. I have an unnatural obsession with office supplies, a deep love for sweet tea, and a soft spot for the sound of rain on our tin roof.

I started this site because I wanted a place to document the beautiful chaos — the recipes we actually eat, the curriculum that actually works, the trips we take, and the skills we're building as a family. Nothing fancy. Nothing fake. Just real life, captured.

I believe in strong families, self-reliance, and raising kids who know how to think, work, and stand on their own two feet. I believe women can be soft and strong at the same time. And I believe life's too short to let someone else write your story.

Thanks for being here. Pull up a chair — there's sweet tea in the fridge.
